I have participated actively in UN
processes and activities for fifteen years. While the United Nations
does much good in the world, it needs to be significantly strengthened
and democratized so that it is able to take sufficient action to solve
our primary global problems. It is unacceptable that the UN Member
States repeatedly fail to live up to the mandates and obligations of the
Charter and the global agreements and commitments they make, especially
when millions of lives are at stake.
